Church Family Meeting & Sunday Lunch

We will have our bi-monthly Church Family Meeting immediately following Morning Worship and then head down to the FLC to share a meal together. Please plan to join us for this great time of fellowship. If you are able, bring a few dishes of food.

Support the Greece Mission Trip
April 4-12
Share in the gospel work in Greece by financially helping those who will be ministering to the people of Greece! Please take an envelope from the board at the front of the sanctuary and give as God leads. Begin to pray now for Jennifer, Ashley, Brandon, Jon, Kaylin, Keith, Matthew, Iris, Starr, and Caleb.

Pizza Inn Greece Fundraiser
Another way to support our mission team to Greece is to eat at the Pizza Inn at Hillcrest on March 6th between 6pm-9pm. We will receive 10% of sales and 100% of tips. The address is 2225 East Main St, Spartanburg, SC. Please bring family and friends and help us spread the word!

New Sunday School Class
Starting in March, Will Cook will begin teaching a Young Adult Sunday School class in Room 117. If you are interested or know someone that might be, let one of the elders know or call the church office.

Grief Share
New Pleasant is hosting a Grief Share support group facilitated by Ashley Height, which will begin in February. A Grief Share support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week study, you’ll discover what to except in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. You’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all it’s unpredictability-and gain support each step of the way. In an effort to find the best time to meet, there is a sign-up sheet at each door to the
sanctuary. This group will be hosted at either 4:30pm on Thursdays OR 9:30am on Saturdays. We will use the time that is most convenient.

This month we will focus on one of Jesus' teachings from the Sermon on the Mount as we learn "how to" make a difference, love our enemies, share with others, and pray.

We are seeking volunteers to be a part of our Children’s Ministry Team. This team is responsible for planning and overseeing children’s ministry events, including a weekly program apart from Sunday morning, summer activities, and mission opportunities. We have several Connect Groups that meet once a week, spending time in God’s Word and fellowship.

Nursery/Childcare Workers Needed
We are in need of more Nursery and Childcare Workers to be added to the rotation. This would be during Sunday Morning Worship or during Wednesday night activities. Please see Lynn Hollifield or contact the church office if you are willing to serve.
